Sri Shanmukhananda Fine Arts and Sangeetha Sabha & The Family of Shri Mohammed Rafi is co-creating the magic of legendary singer Mohammed Rafi by presenting a show on 24th of every calendar month starting from January 2024 and culminating on the centenary birth anniversary on 24th December 2024. The shows will include multifaceted themes on the axis of Genre, Music Directors, Lyricists and Actors for whom Mohammed Rafi has sung and will be hosted by the prestigious Shanmukhananda Auditorium, Mumbai. Shows will feature presentations by renowned male singers. The events will be graced by the presence of popular female singers who will add their melodious voices to the duets. It’s an event that promises to be an unforgettable experience for all music enthusiasts.
Additionally, Shanmukhananda Sabha is perpetuating his legacy for endless times by several social initiatives touching on the lives of poor, bringing smile on the face of the depressed and setting up a permanent memorial on his life and times in his birthplace in Village Kotla Sultan Singh near Amritsar, Punjab to remind Indians of all generations of the valuable contribution of Rafi to enrich human lives.
Though it is impossible to re-create the voice of the legendary singer, the attempt by singers will be to bring in same aura by quality singing both for solos and duet songs.
